• 2nd Degree Black Belt

With over 20 years of Martial Arts training Bill is committed to traditional Japanese Budo (Martial Arts) training. He has made several trips to Japan to study at the Yoseikan Hombu (home) dojo and his Shodan certificate was signed by Minoru Mochizuki, the founder of Yoseikan Budo.


Jimmy Cerra is a BJJ instructor and the owner of Team Balance Pittsburgh. Jimmy began training at the CMU Grappling Club in 2005 and later started the Panther Grappling Club at Pitt. He was promoted by Phil Migliarese in 2007 to purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Besides BJJ, Jimmy is also a brown belt in Judo and a certified referee for US Grappling.

Jimmy enjoys teaching and competing as much as possible. He is committed to providing the best training environment for his students. Jimmy is a very competitive athlete in judo, BJJ, and MMA events.


Jacob Young is a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) from Richmond, VA. He was promoted by Kazeka Muniz and Rick McCoy of the MMA Institute, where he was a BJJ Instructor and Director of the Kid's Program. Jacob also has extensive training in Wrestling, Muay Thai, Judo, and Sombo. He has fought in MMA and remains undefeated.


• 3rd Degree Black Belt

David Loshelder has been practicing, training and teaching judo and self-defense for over 28 years. He currently holds a 3rd degree black belt judo and has trained and completed nationally and internationally throughout his judo career. Some of Dave's accomplishments include: 5X USA national place winner and 10X PA state champion. He is the author of a self-defense book entitled: Protect Yourself: Top 10 Lifesaving Self-Defense Techniques. David currently lives with his wife Jennifer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
